Parshas Bechukosai

This week is dedicated especially Le'iluy Nishmas my uncle that passed away recently Shneur Zalman ben Yitzchak HaKohen.

and for my other uncle that is very sick Refua Sheleima Dovid Yehoshua ben Leba Malka


May Hashem watch over all of Klal Yisrael and protect us!

Bechukosai

Hashem says: If you will keep my laws and Mitzvos…

  • - I will send you rain in the right time and it will produce crops and fruit.

  • -The food will last long.

  • -I will bring you peace and tranquility and you will not be afraid. I will remove wild beasts and no army will pass through your land.

  • -You will chase away your enemies and five of you will be able to chase 100, and 100 of you will be able to chase down 1000.

  • -I will make you fruitful and multiply with many children

  • -The old food will last very long and remain fresh

  • - I will dwell in your midst and not reject you

  • -I will walk among you and be for you a G-d and you will be for me a nation

BUT!- If you do not keep my Mitzvos and will hate and reject the laws….

Then I will do the same to you and bring on you confusion, diseases and boils, fever, and depression. Your food will not grow and enemies will win over you. And if it continues another 7 punishments will be added on. If you treat Hashem as happenstance and coincidence and not as involved in your lives then Hashem will punish for that and act as if its all coincidence. The Pesukim continue with the many punishments, opposites of the blessings above, that Hashem will bring if the laws are not kept and are despised.

-Eruchin - The Pesukim go into detail of the cost of the value of different people. If someone is in danger they can promise the value of a person / themselves and pay that to the Bais Hamikdash to redeem them.

-Hekdesh - A person can promise and animal or parts of animals as donations to the Mikdash as well.

-A person can be makdish his house and field as well to the Mikdash.

-All the Hekdesh – if it’s redeemed then the owner adds a fifth to the amount.

-Maaser - All Maaser (1/10) from the land is Holy for Hashem

Maaser of animals – every tenth one passes under a stick and is marked as Maaser and is holy for Hashem.

Choco NoNos – If you do not listen to the Mitzvos then there are many curses in the Parsha

Dollar Candy, Money Rolls, Chocolate coins – You will be rich if you keep the Mitzvos

Zillions – You will be fruitful and multiply is one of the brachos for keeping the mitzvos

Popp candy – One who rejects Hashem gets sicknesses and boils pop on him

Atomic candy – The enemies will attack one that rejects Hashem

Mazel Tov Candies – If you keep the mitzvos then will be fruitful and multiply and have many children

Aqua Chews – If you keep the mitzvos Hashem will send rain (aqua is water) in its time

Dazzlers – Hashem will dazzle you with all good if keep the mitzvos

Wowzers – Hashem will wow you with so many unbelievable brachos if you keep the mitzvos

Torah Oodles – Keep Hashem’s Torah and Mitzvos and you will have lots of Brachos

Rainballs – Hashem will send Rain in its time if you keep the Mitzvos

Gummy Bears – If you keep the mitzvos there will be no wild beasts in the land. But if you reject Hashem…

Drizillicious -It will drizzle and rain if you keep the mitzvos

Extra Sour Chews – it will be extra sour for those that reject Hashems mitzvos

Sour Sticks package (with lion on it) – It will be sour for one that rejects the Mitzvos and the lions and beasts will come on the land. If we keep the mitzvos the beasts will be kept out
